DMW boss, Davido has parted ways with his manager. He announced the severing of the relationship to fans via Snapchat stating “I am my own manager in 2017! Don’t put your life in another man’s hand,”.
The details of the sack of his manager, Kamal Ajiboye still remains sketchy but from his rants one can infer that it has a lot to do with his trying to break into the international market and not quite succeeding at it.
Remember the self styled OBO stylishly positioned himself for international fame last year but it doesn’t look like it has worked much. His single with Tinashe wasn’t received with the same applause as that of other Nigerian artistes who collaborated with their foreign counterparts.
“Fuck all that international shit! It’s cool but fuck it. I am back to the basics”, Davido said during his Snapchat rant.
2017 is no doubt bound to be interesting as we can’t wait to see how Davido will fare as his own Manager.
