The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) is currently making moves to stop the spread of Wizkid‘s leaked song ‘Hush Up The Silence’ featuring Drake.

The International body has been sending mails to blogs and music websites warning them to desist from the infringing action.

According to TheNet, a mail sent to them from the IFPI stated;

We have learned that your service is making available, distributing and/or referring/linking users to infringing copies of the following sound recordings, the copyrights in which are exclusively owned or controlled by one or more IFPI Represented Companies. We are asking for your immediate assistance in stopping this unauthorised activity.

Wizkid is an artiste under Sony Music which is a member of the IFPI hence the interest and the wading in of the body into the issues.

Wizkid’s manager Sunday Are has claimed that they still have no idea of the source of the leak and has appealed to whoever did it to take it down.
