Dancehall star, Timaya has been nominated indirectly for a Grammy Awards. The nomination is as a result of his feature on Morgan Heritage’s reggae album titled Avrekedabra which was nominated in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category.
The 60th edition of the prestigious Grammy Awards will be holding on the 28th of January 2018 in New York.
Timaya was featured on the album on a track called ‘Reggae Night’ which also had music stars like Stonebwoy from Ghana, Chubb Rock, Stylo G, Bunji Garlin, Dre Zion & Jaheil.
If ”Avrekedabra” wins in its Grammy category, Timaya will be the 7th Nigerian to ever win the award placing him in the same category as legends like SEAL,Chamillionaire,Sade Adu, Sikiru Adepoju, Kevin Olusola and Lekan Babalola.
