In a recent interview with Atinka FM’s “Tete Dwom” show, veteran Ghanaian musician, Obiba Sly Collins highlighted lessons that Ghanaian artistes could learn from the business sense of their Nigerian counterparts.
According to him –
Most of the old musicians made big mistakes by not investing in other businesses, and you can see it has caused some of them. When you go to Nigeria, they do a lot of investments. At least, you can put a little at the bank if not at all.
The singer spoke about saving for a rainy day and admonished some of his colleagues for lacking foresight.
Look at the door you knocked sometime ago and how you struggled before entering. At this moment that you are at your peak, try to put something somewhere because no condition is permanent.
The interview made the news for other reasons as well, Obiba made claims to have slept with more than 150 women in his heyday.
According to the singer –
I met a lady who boldly told me she has had an affair with me but I couldn’t even remember until she mentioned the area and even with that remembering the face was a problem. I am telling you they are more than 150. I can’t count them. I have wasted my energy, time, and other resources.
He however says he’s a changed man, after accepting God in his life.
Now I have asked for forgiveness and now I am a changed person… because I have taken Christ, I am a different person altogether.
