Wizkid and Tiwa Savage have gotten the web talking in the past few weeks. It is not for their music, however. Most of the stories were sensational romance stories.

An announcement by Wizkid this afternoon will sway discourse to what is more important — music.

Wizkid posted on his Twitter today that he and Tiwa Savage are getting set to release a collaborative “jam”.

“New Wiz & Tiwa. Hit. Gbedu dey come.” He wrote in the tweet.

It is unclear whether it would be a full-length project, though. From all indications, it could yet another single.

Wizkid and Tiwa Savage’s collaborative story runs back since 2015 when the duo released “Bad”, a single off Tiwa Savage’s sophomore album, R.E.D.

They would also collaborate in 2017 on “Ma lo”, off the Sugarcane EP. The song would later become one of the biggest singles released in Nigeria, 2017.

Release date for the upcoming work is yet to be announced, but the break of the news is exciting considering how whatever projects the duo have appeared on eventually became a “hit”.
