A couple of days ago, we reported that Wizkid’s major label debut Sounds From The Other Side didn’t chart on Billboard  however, we now have new information. In the initial first week report for projects released on Friday, 14th July, 2017, SFOS was nowhere to be found but in the latest report from Billboard released today, the project was a brand new entrant at the #107 spot on the Top 200 charts.

SFOS also debuted at #14 on Billboards R&B Albums, #14 on the Digital Album charts and #47 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. There are unconfirmed reports that the project sold just over 3,106 physical copies in the US – a modest number considering that the US wasn’t the focal point for his press run and promotion. Away from the USA, SFOS debuted at #91 on the UK Albums chart and #58 on the Canadian charts.

Sounds From the Other Side is Wizkid’s major label debut but it’s also his third solo project in six years. It contained a stellar line up of guests including Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songs, Drake and Major Lazer. The EP is the Afropop singer’s official introduction to tens of thousands of new fans around the world.
