Peter “Mr. P” Okoye of the defunct P-Square has responded to the viral video of him performing songs from other artists as “nothing new”.
The singer, who recently called himself an upcoming artist following his break-away from P-Square, was seen performing Usher and 9ice’s songs at a recent concert in America.
Mr. P said he only performed the songs because the artists inspired and motivated him.
He said the video was altered by the person who posted it suit the person’s narratives and as such did not tell the whole story.
He further added that he had license to perform over a hundred songs from the P-Square catalogue.
“We have over more than a 100 (hundred) songs which I performed and [I am] entitled to.”
He ventured that most people were not over the P-Square break yet which was why they were targeted with the video.
“Take heart, guys. Change is constant and I have moved on.” He said.
