Dancehall singer Yung L has released his long-awaited debut album, Better Late Than Never; the album was released under Chocolate City and is the record label’s first release of 2017.

Yung L’s journey to this point has been a long one, he first moved to Lagos in 2011 to pursue music full-time but he has been striving for recognition even longer.

While attending the University of Jos Medical School, Yung L juggled school, improving his performance routines and releasing songs. It was during this time that he met with other budding Jos artists – Ice Prince, Endia, J.Milla, and Chopstix the producer. Together, they formed the Grip movement, with Yung L acting as president of the Grip Muzik label.

The Grip Muzik emblem is visible on this album but from his original Grip crew, only Chopstix made it on Yung L’s debut. The 19-track LP instead has guest appearances from the likes of R2Bees, Poe, Mr. Marley, Sarkodie, Sholala, Uncle Charlie and Jaij Hollands.
