Omawumi, has revealed her pre-performance rituals which does not include use of substances.
The, singer told Saturday Beats that She doesn’t think entertainers should take performance enhancers before hitting the stage.
Omawumi explained that she usually take some time to pray before performing.
“I pray to God before every performance,” Omawonder said in the interview.
“It is a ritual I have carried out over the years and is working for me.”
“I don’t think entertainers should rely on anything, especially negative things before a performance because they could become dependent on such and the day those things are not available, it will affect their performance.
Furthermore, the singer noted that she felt pressure to use performance enhancement substances from her peers.
But she did not find the need to enhance her performance with the substances.
“People have indeed tried to cajole me into taking some substances before performing on stage but I politely turn such persons down.”
