This is coming barely 24-hour after his interview with Capital Xtra where he claimed that other Nigerian musicians are beginning to adopt his style.
The statement had directed public ire towards him as he came under heavy fire from many Nigerians online.

His comments also elicited a subliminal response from compatriot, Runtown, who tweeted that Mr. Eazi should not take things personally as was finishing what Mr. Eazi “think” he started.

Mr. Eazi’s latest controversy has awakened debate as to whether his recent comments was calculated to spin attention towards his upcoming work(s).
So far, in all the polls Nigerians have ran on Twitter since the incident, Mr. Eazi has not won any.
However, conclusions in relation to his popularity among Nigerians cannot be drawn yet until the whole event fizzles out.

Meanwhile, Mr. Eazi has promised to donate 10% of the profit from his London Festival Show to flood victims in Makurdi, Benue State.
