L.A.X has released his debut album, Rasaking. The album is now available for purchase on major digital platforms.

Rasaking was released in the early hours of today. The album is L.A.X’s first full-length project. This is despite having been in the industry since 2013.

L.A.X has been announcing the impending release since towards the end of 2017. However, the singer misplaced his hard drive.

This caused the singer to restart the recording process. L.A.X said the process helped him refine his craft.

He said in one interview:

“I felt like there was a reason I lost those songs. So, I focused on creating a new sound for myself.”

“So when you hear my music now you will notice that the sound is different from what I had on “Caro” or “Ginger”. It’s now a different vibe all together.”

The “Caro” singer also mentioned in another interview that the album would be completed before the end of the year.

“I have been recording for a while and the album will be released before the end of the year.”

By releasing the album today, L.A.X has fulfilled his promise of dropping the album before 2018 ended.

The release party for Rasaking held yesterday in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Rasaking has a whopping 17 songs on its lineup. It also featured some of the biggest Nigerian artists of 2018.

Yemi Alade, Duncan Mighty, Davido and Maleek Berry appeared on the album. Moelogo, TimiBoi, Sneakbo and Barry Jhay also made the cut.

“Gbefun” and “Panana” enjoyed good run on radio following their releases as singles. L.A.X released a video for “Panana” last week.

The other songs on the album include: “Specially”, “Money”, “Bad”, “Say”, “Slow Whine”, “Shakara”, “Wassap”, “Mo Lowo” and many others.

The features on Rasaking are strong enough. But will Rasaking score high in the hand of reviewers?
