Kiss Daniel has narrowly escaped death in Calabar at an event which took place on Christmas Day. Armed robbers attacked the Christmas Village where he was performing and started shooting sporadically.
The village is opened for business every year between December 1st and 31st December. The village features performances by artistes as well as traders and artisans offering wares for sale.
According to eyewitnesses, bottles and othr dangerous objects were thrown at the ‘Mama’ singer before they brought out their guns and started firing into the air.
The attackers physically assaulted Kiss and even made attempts to remove his clothes. No one could immediately come to his rescue as everyone fled for safety. But from all indications, the artiste wasn’t fatally wounded and appears to have left the scene without a scratch.
