Kiss Daniels hasn’t released that infamous press release yet but we’ll have to make do with his debut album New Era instead.

His latest single “Mama” is #1 on the charts, so the album has the perfect environment to do well. The album is being launched today, 15th May, 2016 at Eko Hotel and Towers, Lagos. His label mate Sugar boy landed at #13 with “Holla Holla”, rapper Illbliss debuted at #24 on the charts with “Ayakata” with a little help from Falz. This is just one of five records on the charts that Falz either owns or is featured on, the highest-charting of the 5 is “Soldier”ft. Simi which is fast-becoming the biggest song of the rapper’s career. Falz is in demand.

Another rap duo is right behind Illbliss and Falz, it’s the partners in rhyme Phyno and Olamide at #25 with their new street single “Fada Fada”. The twosome also have a top 10 hit with “Who you epp? (Original)”, the song keeps out Reminisce’s “Asalamalekun” which rose to #11 this week. Temmie Ovwasa’s “Jabole” might have been underwhelming to some but the song was played 29 times last week and is in spot number 36. Mr. Eazi and Drake are discovering the merits of working with Nigeria’s very own superstar Wizkid, Mr. Eazi’s “Skin tight” debuts at number 55 just a week after signing with Star Boy and 3 songs from Drake’s album Views charted in Nigeria this week -“One Dance”, “Controlla” and “Too Good”. If only the Canadian superstar could benefit from the royalties too.
