The reason why Iyanya left Triple MG records is now seeping out. The singer has always been equivocal about the circumstances leading to his exit from the Ubi Franklin-led label. Now, he is saying things, but in his trademark equivocal manner.

Iyanya is still not willing to tell it all. So, he goes ahead and tweets in tiny bits, leaving his followers to piece the whole thing together.

The singer clarified details of his time with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records while also dropping hints on why he left Franklin’s.

Iyanya stated that he never signed any record deal with Mavin records. He said Don Jazzy offered him a space while he recovered from his break with Triple MG.

“I didn’t sign any papers with Mavin. Don Jazzy said ‘G. before you set anything up you can ride with the team.”

Iyanya said he “wanted to be happy” and this caused him to handover everything at Made Men Music to Ubi Franklin.

“Ubi didn’t want me to, but I needed some peace.”

The singer hinted that Triple MG was not properly set up.

“Build big office with no direction. If no be grace. So much money, no clue.” He wrote in one tweet.

He urged musicians to always be wary of the kind of people they sign deals with.

“Never sign papers with people who have no idea what they’re doing.”

Iyanya is preparing to release his new music series, Iyanya Back 2 Back.
