Olamide knows how to collaborate with Wizkid and Wizkid also knows how to collaborate with Olamide. The proof is everywhere.

The duo have both recorded and released mad hits together. The first time they did so was in 2010 when they released “Omo To Shan“. Their recent work together “Kana” also became one of the biggest songs in 2018.

Olamide and Wizkid have now released another song to add to their number of hits. The new song is called “Totori”.

This time, the duo were brought together by 9ice’s former producer, ID Cabasa. Recall that Baddo was first signed to Canada’s Coded Tunez records before he left to found his own YBNL records.

To make mainstream hits, the street has shown how influential it can be. The trio of ID Cabasa, Olamide and Wizkid know this when they made “Totori”.

However, they didn’t court the street in the ways anyone would’ve expected. They went “far” back in time to unearth what was once popular and gave it a contemporary makeover.

“Totori” is heavily influenced by Nigeria’s street-styled reggae, the kind that’s best paired with Galala dance. Wizkid, who takes the chorus, expertly croons in a way reminds one of the works of Soldiers of Christ and Professor Linkin.
