YBNL’s Fireboy DML is having a great year. Some people are already tipping him as the revelation of the year. But if that were the case, the singer would face stiff competition from Jonzing World’s Rema.

“Jealous”, a song off the YBNL collaborative album, is buzzing on club speakers, party arenas and individual playlists. As a result of this, the song has turned out to be a quintessential Nigerian sleeper hit.

The result of this is an increase in search interest for the artist, whose head is now slightly above. This is what averaging over a thousand searches per day on Google 2 weeks ago can do.

So, Fireboy’s representatives will not let that interest go. They’ve taken advantage of it to introduce the audience to a new song by the singer.

The new song is called “What If I Say” and from the look of things, it may get a significant push than its predecessor, “Jealous” — which gathered steam on its own.

“What If I Say” is produced by YBNL’s in-house producer, Pheelz.

However, on the new song, Fireboy DML begs for love relentlessly. It’s what he needs and he sings unabashedly about it.

“What If I Say” is a really catchy number. But listen to the song and wait for the reception before jumping into any kind of conclusion.
