Tinny Records star, YCee, has denied allegations that there was an existing beef between him and Chocolate City top boss. M.I., in his latest interview with HIPTV.
The rapper said he had no cause to diss anything that has M.I.’s name on it adding that he had only respect for the Chocolate City rapper.
Recall that during the later part of August 2017, Filterfree had reported that M.I. had reacted to a negative comment about his record label on YCee’s verified Instagram page.
M.I. had admonished YCee to delete the post, however, since the particular comment was made YCee did not reply, neither did he make amends on the post as the Chocolate City rapper had wanted.
YCee told HIPTV that it was not that he had ignored the rapper’s comment on his post, he said he did not see the post until it was everywhere on the internet.
The “Juice” rapper said that he did not intend to drag Chocolate City into any mischievous scheme and that the post was about record label collaborations and nothing else.
YCee further said he would not undermine the label, that he had been a fan of Chocolate City before he became a professional musician.
The rapper observed that M.I. had reacted the way he did because he was emotionally attached to the record label and he was right to have opted to protected his interest the way he did.
He added that it was not possible for him to delete the post at the time, if not he would have done so as soon as possible.
“If I could I would’ve deleted that page, but that wasn’t possible at the time. It’s not about anything; I don’t have any issues with M.I.”
Omo Alhaji claimed that “a lot of people have been trying to bring up. People just like to start stuff. So anybody that’s trying to talk about ‘oh, YCee has beef, YCee has diss with M.I.’ in a sentence that shouldn’t be the way they said, I don’t have any issue with anybody.”
The rapper said he was focusing more on making music that would delight his fans rather than on what people say about him.
