For Those Who Listen, a documentary examining the roles up and coming Nigerian musicians play in the music industry is finally out.

The documentary, shot by 19-year-old artist Wami Aluko, featured some of the biggest young Nigerian musicians including Odunsi The Engine, Lady Donli, Mr. Eazi, Idriss King and DJ Femo.

Aluko told Konbini in a recent interview that she was inspired to shoot the documentary as a means to examine the effect of music in the society.

“Music has always been important to me as a creative, from the long hours spent choosing the perfect song to go with my fashion film to the long list of playlists I’ve made to fit my every mood.

I was inspired to bring to light the impact and power of music amongst the Nigerian youth, the innovation in our music, and how its effect trickles down.”
