Timi Dakolo has commenced the rollout of his upcoming album, Love and Consequence. The album is the singer’s second album.

Love and Consequence is coming seven years after the release of the acclaimed debut, Beautiful Noise.

Timi Dakolo has been posting about Love and Consequence since the start of October. In one Instagram post, the singer posted a video of himself singing a cut from the album — “Lonely Summer Nights”.

Meanwhile, the tracklist of Love and Consequence has also been released. Like the announcement of the album, the tracklist first appeared on Instagram.

In the caption to the post, Dakolo wrote in all caps: “Love and Consequence, are you ready?”

A picture attached to the post described what Timi Dakolo intended to do with the upcoming album.

“I took my ideas and painted them on my silence. The melodies that followed have the power to arrest anyone’s attention. And you can taste the words I say.”

The sophomore project will likely have only thirteen songs.

As it is, more tracks may join the list.

“Track 14: Run, 15. Magic. — Love and Consequence.” Dakolo wrote in a recent Instagram post.

Timi Dakolo has remained a key player in the Nigerian music industry. This is despite not releasing a full length project since 2011’s Beautiful Noise.

He has released high-performing singles such as: “Iyawo Mi” (2014), “Wish Me Well” (2015), “The Vow” (2016) and “Medicine” (2017).

All of these songs will be released as part of Love and Consequence. Although, this is subject to the artist’s final decision as the final tracklist has not been confirmed.

Fresh songs

The other songs on Love and Consequence are: “I Remember”, “Love Made Me Do It”, “Everytime We Meet”, “I Never Know Say”, “No Forget”, “Great Nation”, “I Hope I Find You There”, “Stranded” and “Outro — Ijaw Medley”.

Only rapper and Chocolate City boss, M.I. Abaga will appear as a guest on Love and Consequence. On Beautiful Noise he featured only two artists: M.I. Abaga and Joan Ekpai.

The album release date has not been confirmed. However, all hands point towards early 2019.
