Reggae artiste, Majek Fashek has stated his intentions to institute a copyright infringement lawsuit against Timi Dakolo.
The song in contention is Majek’s ‘Send Down The Rain’ which was remade by Timi Dakolo.
According to Majek’s manager Uzoma Omenka, they won’t take the matter lying down and they’re currently awaiting arrival of foreign lawyers who will litigate the matter.
He accused Timi of making money from the song and not being able to show concrete evidence that he sought for and got the consent of Majek before using the song.
He further added that Timi claimed he spoke to the manager to secure consent but such never happened as he Uzoma wasn’t even in the country when it happened.
Timi Dakolo has stood by his claims stating that he was surprised that he is being accused with such actions as they are false.
