If you called Afrikan Sauce a Nigerian album on first look, you won’t be wrong. Afrikan Sauce is in fact Kenyan afropop band, Sauti Sol ‘s new album.
Why would you want to mistake Afrikan Sauce for a Nigerian’s work?
Well, because Sauti Sol featured so many Nigerian artists on this project and it is impossible not to have a noticeable impact on the output.
Some of the Nigerian artists who appeared on this project include: Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy.
Sauti Sol have been teasing the project for a while now.
However, you can now get the album as it is available for purchase on most digital platforms.
Some of the songs on this project were already released in 2018.
The likes of “Melanin”, which featured Patoranking and “Tunjiangalie” which has SA singer, Nyashinki on it.
Afrikan Sauce is a 13-track project and it enlisted support from a host of other African artists.
Vanessa Mdee, Toofan, Mi Casa, Khaligraph Jones, Jah Prayza and C4 Pedro all appeared on the project.
Sauti Sol described the album as an “art and cultural exchange”, a statement that justifies the album’s diverse features.
