Tiwa Savage in her latest interview with Nation of Billions opened up about her brief stint on X Factor. This is an aspect of her life not a lot of people know about.
She revealed that her loss on the show prepared her for greater things as it motivated her to go back to school and study music before moving to America which was a decision that shaped the genre of music she found herself doing.
She made it to just before the final ten and it was a great loss to her then, however she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
The ”Bad” crooner when asked about her Afrobeat sound said:
“I don’t really mind as long as it has the Afro in it, you can call it Afropop, Afrobeats, Afrobeat, Afrosoul.”
