Runtown has been accused of fraud by US woman, Shawn Rene Tiger. Tiger accused Runtown of fraudulently collecting a fee of $124k for a transaction.

The American made the accusation in a video circulating on Instagram today. She said Runtown and his brother, Jack Agwu collected the money from her fiancee.

Although, the money was supposed to facilitate a purchase in the East African country, Kenya.

Instead, the money disappeared into thin air.

As a result of this, Tiger has appealed to the Nigerian government to help her apprehend the accused.

“I am trying to ask for the Nigerian government to give me a little bit of help to get some money back that was defrauded from me by a citizen of Nigeria,” Shawn Tiger said in the video.

“His name his Jack Agwu who had said that he could get the money for a purchase in Kenya. That never happened. Him, his wife and his brother, who is a musician; he is the manager of Douglas “Runtown”. I have made police report. He’s been ditching the arrest here.”

Runtown reacts:

Meanwhile, Runtown has refuted the woman’s allegation. The singer made the denial in a press release by his label, SoundGod.

The label said Tiger accused Runtown to tarnish his image.

SoundGod dismissed the accusation as “all lies and an attempt to blackmail” the star.

“Our attention has been drawn to reports circulating on social media by a US based woman named, Shawn Rene accusing our artist, Runtown of fraud.

“It’s all lies and and an attempt to blackmail and tarnish our image. We have contacted the Nigerian security agencies including the DSS and EFCC who are all on the matter at the moment and preliminary investigations already reveals that its a group of impostors who may have duped ‘Sawhn Rene’ using Runtown’s name.”
