Renowned producer, Adey, has revealed that he would consider taking legal action against record label, Tinny Entertainment.

Adey, who produced YCee’s 2017 hit song “Juice”, revealed in a NotJustOk podcast, that he has not been paid royalty rights for producing “Juice”.

He explained that the label was adamant to pay him what was due to him in royalties because they felt they were “right”.

The producer insisted that regardless of whatever the label thought was right, it was their contractual agreement that ought to be right.

“It’s a funny one because both believe they are right and what is actually right is what is in black and white.”

Adey admitted that while the song “Juice” had helped boost his profile it was the financial gains, which he was yet to get, but was entitled to that mattered.

“I’ve been able to achieve so much outside of the opportunities available to me from that song. Obviously, it helped me to be able to add a number one record to my list. But in terms of benefiting from that song, financially, I would say no.”

He maintained that if he did not gain any financial reward for working on the song it would be of complete disservice to himself.

“I don’t want to dwell on it too much. But the fact of the matter remains if I’m not making any money from that song it is a disservice to me.”
