In recent weeks there have been debates reexamining the impact of Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, and the possibility of his legacy being eclipsed by new generation artists.

However, Rich and Famous crooner, Praiz, has come out to render the debate flat, insisting that new generation artists could only follow the legend’s footstep.

He opined that Fela’s accomplishments have created a void too huge for any artist to fill.

“Nobody has been able to step into Fela’s shoes. I say that with confidence. Fela’s shoes are too big for anyone to fit in.”

“We can only learn from him and try to do our best. I tell people: ‘there can never be two Michael Jacksons; there can never be another Fela.’ take it or leave it.”

He said felt glad to have shared the same nationality with the late Afrobeat legend.
