YBNL head honcho Olamide has apologized publicly to the organizers of the Headies for his outbursts at the 2015 edition of the award show.

In a one-minute clip with Ayo Animashaun, CEO of Smooth Promotions the organizers of the award show, Olamide acknowledged that his behavior was inappropriate and claimed he would have apologized earlier but couldn’t do so due to touring and traveling engagements.

According to Olamide –

On behalf of YBNL, I’m here to say a big sorry to the Headies crew, Hip TV crew and Mr Ayo Animashaun himself, if not for anything he has always been supportive, from 2010 when Kaffy brought me to the office, so he’s more like my dad in the industry, so I had to find a way to come down here and apologize for everything that has happened..

It will be recalled that at the Headies 2015, Olamide heavily criticized the Headies for awarding Reekado Banks the Next Rated Act instead of Lil Kesh who was signed to YBNL at the time.

The rapper had actually issued an apology shortly after the event but he conspicuously omitted the show organizers from the list.

The apology is 6 months late but is welcome all the same.
