Niniola has earned a 2018 BET nomination. This is her first nomination on the BET platform.
The singer made the announcement earlier today in an Instagram post. Niniola was nominated for the “Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act” category.
Nini would slug it out with the likes of Not3s, Nailah Black, Prince Waly, Sjava, IamDDB, Kwesi Arthur and MC Soffia. The Saro singer has to earn more votes than the other nominees to win the award.
“I honestly can’t hide my excitement, congratulations to us all,” Niniola wrote in a post on her Instagram.
Niniola also expressed her eagerness to win the award while also appealing for votes from her fans.
“Please guys, I would really love to win this. Baby girl Nini just got nominated for BET Awards 2018.”
The singer joins compatriots, Tiwa Savage and Davido — who were nominated for the “Best International Act” category — on the nominees’ list.
