The drive to get more Africans to vote is now in full force. Popstar Mr. Eazi will give $100,000 to emerging artists. However, eligible artists have to be registered to vote in their country.
Eazi announced in a Twitter post today that he would launch his “Eazi Sound Foundation” on the 1st of August 2018.
The $100,000 grant to emerging artists would be disbursed through the foundation.
“Eazi Sound Foundation launches 1st August & we have set aside $100,000 for African Emerging artists! No 1 criteria is you must be registered to vote in your country!”

Much information has not yet been released as regards the modus operandi of the foundation.
The tweet leaves hint that there may be several other criteria to earn the grant. However, until the foundation is launched officially, no one can tell what the other criteria would be.
Meanwhile, several enthusiasts are now showing interest in supporting the direction of “Eazi Sound Foundation”. The latest is a Ghanaian music award organisers, 3Music Awards.
“We will be willing to help amplify this campaign. How do we plug in? Love this campaign.” The body responded to Mr. Eazi’s tweet today.
“Let us host your first millennial panel in Ghana. #ChooseOrLose.”
Also, some music fans have shown eagerness with the impending initiative.
It is widely believed that the key to ushering out bad governance in Africa is to solve voters apathy. This has since led civil society groups to campaign for voters registration in African countries including Nigeria.
