Davido in a recent interview with Factory78 in U.K talked about how eventful 2015 was for him which necessitated his taking a break for the larger part of this year and not dropping new material before ‘The Son Of Mercy’ was released.  He was in the U.K for a project he’ll be revealing soon.

He also explained how he’s meticulous with his work and would work on a song over and over again rather than put out a song he’s not confident about.

Talking about his song with Meek Mill, he said:

I do wish I had structured the Meek Mill song better. It wasn’t cleared becuase we just threw a mix tape together. Not that I regret dropping it but it could have been done way better’

He affirmed that his yet to be released work with Tinashe, Usher, Trey Songs and Young Thug would be wayyyy better than the Meek Mill collabo.

Davido expressed his delight on how ‘Skelewu’ was featured as a soundtrack for a Disney movie. He used the opportunity to thank Lupita Nyog’o who reportedly handpicked the songs for ‘Queen Of Katwe’.
