2Baba has revealed that he had once been in a similar position as Dammy Krane, who recently cleared of credit card theft charges in America.
The music star revealed this during an interview with Showtime recently.He said he had travelled to Europe for a show when authorities apprehended him that his ticket was bought with a fraudulent credit card.
The singer said the incident had almost caused him so much trouble until he was able to prove he did not buy the tickets himself.
He said he was lucky that the incident had been resolved before the public could have any knowledge of it.
“Yes, it happened to me once; there was this time I went for a show, I can’t really remember where, maybe Amsterdam or somewhere in Europe, my ticket was bought with a fraudulent credit card. It almost caused problems for me but everything was cleared as soon as they realized I didn’t buy the tickets myself, so I was freed.”
2Baba said the unfortunate event could happen to anyone and that he knew that Dammy Krane was innocent from the on set, even before he was acquitted of his alleged crime.
He explained that what had happened to Dammy Krane was a case of misfortune.
“I knew Dammy Krane was going to be free of the charges against him, but you know when something like this happens, you still have to go to court and clear yourself, and that’s what happened in his case. It was just unfortunate that something like that happened. I would say he was at the right place but at the wrong time. He was only going to a show and somehow one or two of the people traveling with him were not clean and it got every other person involved in the scandal. It could have happened to anybody.”
He further cautioned that people should take extra care in this type of situation because the incident could happen to anyone no matter who they were.
