Brymo recently caught up with Sahara TV where he opened up on various issues in an interview. On how he came about his stage name ‘Brymo’, he said that it is coined from his name ‘Ibrahim Olawale’ and born of a desire to have a unique stage name.

On breaking out, he said it was tough and not at all what he expected but eventually it paid off. He also discussed quitting school to face music full time. Inability to pay school fees plus his realizing that money he came across would go into furthering his music  career rather than into school made him drop out.

He also added that he doubts if he’ll ever go back as he realized earlier on that school isn’t for him.

When asked about the issue with Chocolate City, he described it as a ‘show of shame’. He also called his hit single ‘Oleku’ a pro bono work as he didn’t receive a single dime for it. He also alleged that Chocolate City wasn’t giving him money for his projects.
