Waje said she’s always confused when she’s asked what type of music she does. The singer attributed this confusion to her diverse vocal ability.
Waje explained during an interview on Hot 93.3FM Lagos that she does any music she felt compelled to do.
The singer is renowned for her contribution to the defunct P’Square’s hit single, “Do Me”. Waje also has an album, W.A.J.E. to her credit.
Waje said her ability is not limited by the difference between genres.
“First of all, I don’t think there’s any genre you’d give me that I won’t deliver,” she said.
“Many times, people would ask me ‘what type of music do you do?’ and I’m confused. I don’t know: today I might be feeling I want to do RnB; tomorrow I want to do pop songs. If you’re around me you’d understand my pain. Sometimes it makes me feel like I’m the most unprofessional artist.”
