Rapper, Future has been announced as the International Act that will perform at the 2016 edition of the MTV Base Africa Music Awards popularly known as MAMAs.
The build up that led up to the announcement via social media was an intense one.
Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa had this to say about why they decided on Future.
“Future has an amazing fan following in Africa and we are delighted that he will make his African performance debut on the MAMA 2016 stage in Johannesburg on 22 October.”
Future will join the likes of Diamond, Emtee, Kwesta, Patoranking Alikiba, Babes Wodumo, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Ycee and Yemi Alade in Johannesburg on the 22nd October.
