Funbi now has a full-length project to his name. The project, an EP titled Serenade is the singer’s first ever official body of work. This is despite being in the industry for over 6 years.

Serenade comes on the back of several singles and covers over the years. Some of Funbi’s songs received acclaim from music faithfuls around Nigeria.

Some of Funbi’s well-known songs include: “Hallelujah”, “Turn Me Around” and “Forbidden Fruit”. These songs date back to as far back as 2015 to 2017 respectively.

Serenade was released Monday and it is now available on all major digital platforms. Some regard the project as the last of The Collectiv3 series for the year.

Funbi wrote that he made the project from memory. He made the statement Monday on Twitter in one of his rollout notes.

Serenade was birthed from memories and made for you. Let the world know,” the singer appealed.

Meanwhile, Funbi released the project on his birthday, 5th of November. He described the move as “double celebrations for me”.

Also, Funbi wrote on his Twitter about the reception of the project. He called the feedback “nothing short of amazing!”.

In addition, the 7-track Serenade enlists on two guest appearances. The two guests are female artists of high calibre: Seyi Shay and Efya.
