On-air personality, Dotun has hit out at his colleague, Misi and singer, Yemi Alade following a controversial statement about Tiwa Savage during their Koffee Gang Show on Hot 98.7FM Lagos.

The show’s co-host, Misi had stated matter-of-factly that Yemi Alade had better vocal range than Tiwa Savage.

Misi said Tiwa Savage “shouts” whenever she performed live.

“For example, she’s [Yemi Alade] sitting here and she’s basically just giving me goosebumps. And I heard somebody [Tiwa Savage] just a couple of weeks ago, live, I mean the tunes are good and everything.”

Mama Africa only said a curt “thank you” to the OAPs complement. She would later say comparisons are often based on personal preference and that she does not pay much attention to it.

Dotun, while reacting to the Misi’s statement offered, albeit in a shortsighted way, that women were often women’s problem, adding that the guys already “love you [women].”

“All these advocacy of ‘support our ladies’ is a hoax cos you ladies are actually the problem. The guys already love you, so what is the problem?”

Dotun also went ahead to blame Yemi Alade for a discussion she completely made effort to stay away.from. The Johnny singer’s response to Misi’s statement was only a terse “Merci beaucoup.”

“As for Yemi, the real reason why women in Nigeria can not boast of the huge numbers in music is cos you don’t support each other,” Dotun said of Yemi Alade’s interview.

The OAP Dotun either deliberately missed the point or was not patient enough to comprehend the conversation between Yemi Alade, Misi and Uche Agbai (who Dotun did not mention at all in his tweet).
