Popular music producer, DJ Coublon, has urged musicians to stop creating music based on trending formula.

The DJ told HIPTV recently that because a particular sound was trending at a point in time did not mean it would last long. He said it is not advisable to make music based on trends.

DJ Coublon, known for producing hit songs like Kiss Daniel’s “Laye” amongst others, also noted that music audience’s taste are highly dynamic.

“People will get tired. They want to hear new stuff. The human mind of music consumption is insatiable; you can’t satisfy it. People are always [seeking] what’s new.”

Coublon said it is important for artists to offer new sounds to the audience, adding that new sounds stands a better chance of success in the saturated music industry.
