The Mombassa Rocks Festival took place last week in Kenya with Chris Brown as the headline act. Reports have it that things didn’t go so well as the two supporting African artistes, Wizkid and Tanzania’s Alikiba got into an ego contest.
The spat was allegedly over who would get to perform right before Chris Brown, with Wizkid wanting to claim the honour as the more popular artiste.
Alikiba however felt he had a bigger fan base in Kenya, and demanded to perform last. After severe back and forth which delayed the performance of the main act, Chris Brown, Wizkid agreed to go first.
Alikiba performed after Wizkid, but minutes into his performance, his microphone was disconnected as the organizers had to bring Breezy on stage.
He however continued after Chris Brown’s set was over.
