Eric Manny records was the one filing suits before. Now, it is about to get sued. Producer, Del B is warming up to drag the label to court over alleged unpaid royalties.
The producer is suing for payment defaults relating to his works on the hit songs, “Mad Over You” and “Bend Down Pause”.
The songs were performed by estranged and former Eric Manny poster boy, Runtown, in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Although, the singer no longer has a legal deal with the label.
Del B told Cool 96.9 FM Lagos in an interview that on several occasions he has had to drag major stars he has worked with to court over royalty payments.
“I have had to take people to court,” Del B, born Ayodele Basil, said in the interview.
“Most especially Eric Manny. I’m suing them for royalties – for not getting nothing actually for producing ‘Mad Over You’ and ‘Bend Down Pause’.”
Del B has worked with most of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry, including Wizkid, Davido and a host of others.
The producer’s artist-producer album, Afrodisiac has been released and is beginning to gain grounds all over.
