Olaitan Olaonipekun popularly known as Da’grin passed on this day 6 years ago at 6pm. He was involved in an accident on the 14th April in which he sustained injuries which later led to his demise.
He was initially admitted at Tai Solarin Hospital, Mushin before being transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH) Idi Araba, where doctors desperately tried to save his life.
He was finally buried on the 30th April 2010 amidst sadness and sorrow. His fans showed up at the Atan Cemetery in droves.
Before his death, he was one of the biggest things in the music industry with his music enjoying massive airplay all over the country. The revolutionary rapper was from Ogun state part of the South Western part of Nigeria.
He did collaborations with artistes like Omawunmi, YQ, Konga, Remi Aluko, KSB among others. He had 3 albums to his name before he passed on.
Amazingly, his songs are still enjoying airplay even years after his death. Nigerians won’t forget him so easily.
