Wizkid‘s hit song, “Soco” made the list of some of the most searched phrases on popular search engine, Google.
The list of the most searched terms by Nigerians was revealed yesterday during the Google for Nigeria event in Lagos.
“Soco” was released in the first quarter of 2018 and it featured Starboy contingents: Ceeza Milli; Terri and Spotless.
Since then, the song has maintained its place on several music charts in the country.
The song appeared alongside “How To Dance Shaku Shaku” as one of the most searched terms also.
This is an indication of the interests Nigerians have in the trends in the Nigerian music industry.
“Soco” also featured its own modification of the “Shaku Shaku”, which implies that the two search terms may have been used side by side.
While “Soco” may be popular on its own, the Shaku has been trending since the end of 2017 of which, “Soco” itself was made to ride on the Shaku Shaku wave.
