Alterplate founder, Harrysong has had to deal with a lot. He quit Five Star music towards the end of 2016. Then he got arrested in the first quarter of 2017.

The singer would release “Arabanko” in the third quarter of that 2017. The song provided a linear story as to what transpired between Harry and his estranged former label.

The Kingmaker album dropped.

In 2018, Harrysong’s tribulations continued as he fell into depression. A post on his Instagram unsettled industry colleagues and fans. For a good part of that year, the singer was reclusive — and recovering at his own pace.

This year, Harrysong is back with the song “Journey”. The song sees the singer admitting that all his tribulations were only a phase he has to pass through.

The video for “Journey” is out. News-clippings of his fallout with Five Star, some of his old performances, the awards he won and more make up part of the video.

“Journey” tells more about the music industry in a way most people know about already. The quality of performance Harry puts into this song is telling. But it is a discussion for another day.

The Sasha Vybz directed video was shot in Kampala, Uganda.
