The African Giant album is out early this morning. This is unarguably Burna Boy’s most anticipated album so far in his career.

The album was first announced in March after the lineups of Coachella Valley festival came out. Burna Boy felt his name wasn’t given the proper design treatment it deserved.

His claim caused a stir the internet, especially among people who thought his claim was misplaced. The singer didn’t do anything, instead, he went on to collaborate with DJDS on Steel & Copper and also performing at the Coachella festival.

African Giant is a tangible response to those who doubted Burna Boy’s claim for the title.

The 19-track project is not only big because of the number of songs on it, it’s big when you look at the quality of guests appearances on the project.

The legendary Beninoise Angelique Kidjo, Zlatan, Jorja Smith, Jeremih, M.anifest, Damian Marley, Future, YG and Serani all appeared on the project.

5 songs off this project were previously released from as far back as December 2018. However, the rest are freshly baked.

“Gbona”, “Dangote”, “On the low”, “Anybody” and “Killin’ Dem” were released prior to the release of the project.

The eponymous “African Giant” opens the album. Other songs on the project include “Wetin Man Go Do”, “Gum Body”, “Omo”, “Secrets” and “Pull Up”.

Other tracks like “Collateral Damage”, “Destiny”, “Another Story”, “Show & Tell” and others all form the second half of the project.
