On-Air personality, Yaw has taken back his words against Runtown. Yaw, who called out the singer bitterly in an Instagram live video last week, now said he has moved on from the issue.

“If you had listened to the footage well, you would hear Runtown’s song playing in the background,” Yaw told Sunday Scoop by Punch recently.

The renowned OAP explained that he had moved on from the entire incident which happened about three years ago.

“I am human. Even when I was not happy with Runtown, I was still promoting his songs,” Yaw said.

Yaw stated he had felt disrespected after he discovered Runtown was in town but still did not come to his show at the time: even though Runtown had claimed he would not be in the country.

He said he had enjoyed support from many Nigerian artists in most of his shows and he had expected same from Runtown, but the singer turned him down instead.

“I have enjoyed great support from Nigerian artistes. But I called Runtown three years ago and he said he was not available. When I told him two years ago, he still claimed not to be available. But for last year, he promised he would come if he was in town.

“On the same day, the Lagos State Government held a concert at Bar Beach. He attended and lodged at Eko Hotel. Humblesmith performed at Bar Beach too but still came to support me. I expected Runtown to show me support and leave.”

Yaw claimed in spite of Runtown’s unsupportive stance, he kept on supporting his music by giving him steady airplay.

“I don’t think anyone has played “Mad Over You” like I did.” Yaw maintained, adding that he has put the incident behind him.
