Davido, Wizkid, Tekno, Seyi Shay, Mr. Eazi, YCee, Small Doctor, and Yemi Alade, have all been nominated for the 2017 Edition of the Middle East African Music Award (MAEMA Awards).
The nominees list was officially announced this morning by the organisers of the award.
The award is scheduled to hold on the 5th of October 2017.
MAEMA Awards is organised to showcase the versatility of African Music to the Middle East of Africa as well as to recognise the efforts of talented musicians and entertainers across Africa.
Artistes from countries like Uganda, Egypt, South Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria and other African countries were all nominated for different categories of awards.
This year’s MAEMA award nominees is dominated by Nigerian artistes who have all made waves across the continent.
The song of the year category features, YCee for his single, Juice, WizKid -Come Closer, Davido – If, Small Doctor – Penalty, Mr. Eazi – Legover, Tekno – Pana, Seyi Shay – Yolo, Diamond Platnumz – Eneka, and Eddie Kenzo – Shauri Yako.
Other categories include: Most Promising Artiste of The Year which features Kenya’s Vanessa Mdee, Niniola, Mayorkun, LAX, Koker, Shayfeen etc.
