Wande Coal has cited not getting a lawyer as a recurrent error musicians make. The singer said he did not have a lawyer when he was starting out.
In a recent interview with HipTV, the singer recalled the early part of his career and also talked about industry growth.
Wande Coal said being good alone always was not enough to weather through the industry as a young artist.
“The mistake you always make is you don’t get a lawyer,” Black Diamond said.
He then added that young artists should get a lawyer before proceeding with an artist.
“So first of all, as an artist, get a lawyer. That’s the thing. When you want to enter the music industry, like you just want to go because you’re good: it doesn’t happen like that.”
