Twentieth Century Fox has entered into an agreement with Nigerian theatrical film distribution company, FilmOne, to distribute its film slate in the West African region.

Under the agreement, FilmOne will distribute all Fox titles directly to cinemas in Nigeria and Ghana. FilmOne Distribution will release such titles as ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’, ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’, as well as‘The Birth of a Nation’ from the Studio’s Fox Searchlight Pictures division and Dreamworks Animation’s ‘Trolls’.

Paul Higginson, Fox’s Executive Vice President International Distribution (EMEA) shared his excitement about the new development. According to Paul –

According to a statement from FilmOne, this is the first deal of its kind in West Africa for Twentieth Century Fox.
