Davido has confirmed he would release his sophomore album in 2019. The artist first announced the album last year.

However, there is no hint as to the readiness of the project or its possible release date.

The “Fall” singer confirmed an album is in the in a recent interview with Sky UK’s For the Record.

Davido said before now, he had released tons of works, only that they were not compiled as a single project.

“I always tell people this, since 2016, how many songs have I dropped?” The singer said.

“I always drop series of songs, all those songs, if you count it now, it’s already one album.

Furthermore, the singer maintained that his previous materials are enough to fill an album.

“I have given you guys materials, just that I haven’t compiled it in one body of work, but I think this year I want to compile a couple of songs and drop an album.”

The last time Davido released an album was in 2012 when he dropped Omo Baba Olowo.
