Mayorkun has finally released anticipated album, The Mayor of Lagos. The album is the singer’s first official debut project since he broke out in 2016.
The Mayor of Lagos was released in the early hours of today following a prolonged rollout. Fans can get the album on all major streaming platforms.
Mayorkun’s debut work was released under the aegis of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
Mayorkun first confirmed the release date for the project in October. At any rate, it was easy to be unsure if truly it’d be released.
TMOL, as it is known for short, is a 14-track long project. It boasts of, unsurprisingly, the appearance of his fellow DMW artists.
Also, the album scored the presence of high-profile artists, asides from the DMW front line. The likes of Sarkodie, D’Banj and Patoranking featured on the project.
DJ Coublon, Speroachbeatz, Kiddominant, Fresh VDM, Northboi, Phantom and Cracker Mallo scored production credits on TMOL.
At any rate, the album has five pre-released hit songs. Some of those songs were released as far back as 2017.
These songs include: “Mama”, “Che Che”, “Fantasy”, “Bobo” and “Posh”.
Other songs on the project include “Sope”, “Tire”, “Aya Mi”, “Red-handed”, “Drama Queen”, “Jonze Me”, “Mofo” and “Oshepete”.
