Davido will no longer hold his concert at Eko Atlantic City. The government had allegedly declined approval of the venue.

The City of David concert was expected to hold Atlantic City next month. However, this would not come to be, barring any sudden change.

The singer wrote on his Twitter earlier today that he would announce a new venue soon.

“My show this December at Eko Atlantic was not approved… I wonder why?” Davido announced.

Official reason for the refusal has not been stated yet. But the singer hinted that the refusal could be politically motivated.

“Hmm! Anyways, announcing a new venue soon. It’s a dirty game, but I can’t be stopped!”

Davido played an active role in the Osun gubernatorial election few months ago. His uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke was an opposition governorship candidate in the election.

The artist held campaign concerts pitching the senator to teeming concert goers. This role would affect the candidacy of his uncle against the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate.

Although, Senator Adeleke lost the election at the re-run, Davido’s role in boosting his popularity at the polls raised a few eyebrows.

Now there are allegations that the government disapproved the concert venue because of his role in the election.

In his response, Davido said he has the right to align with whomever he deemed fit to follow.

“Nah the highest dem fit do be that! I will support who I want to support. I will not switch sides over a fucking venue! It’s fuck them! December 27th, City of David concert still on.”

Davido wrote that he would announce new venue for the event soon.
