The City of David concert will now hold at the Eko Atlantic City. This will enable Davido accommodate more concert-goers in a single place.
Davido had earlier planned to use the Ocean View Grounds at the Eko Hotel and Suites. But the singer announced a change of plans late yesterday.
“You asked and we listened,” He wrote in one tweet.
“In order to give you the best show possible and accommodate all my fans, Davido live in concert is moving to another venue.”
Tickets for the City of David concert is available on nairabox.com and other physical outlets in Lagos. Some of these places include Hubmart and Tastee Fried Chicken.
Prior to this announcement, there been a little skirmish between the singer and the developers of the Eko Atlantic City.
Last month, the developers had declined permission to use the city as Davido’s concert venue. They cited insecurity as the main reason for declining the singer’s request.
However, reports on many quarters claimed the rejection was political.
Davido had participated actively in the campaign Osun State gubernatorial election. He did so for opposition party candidate, Ademola Adeleke.
Senator Adeleke, “The Dancing Senator” as he is renowned in the Nigerian press, is Davido’s uncle.
